i've been with cingular, now the new at&t, for over 2 yrs...in 2005, when i was looking to purchase a cellphone with contract, first i tried sprint, but they said i would have to pay a deposit, and if i wanted more than one phone, then i would have to pay a deposit on each. then i tried t mobile, but was only approved for one phone and no deposit...finally, i tried cingular, and i was approved for 2 phones with no deposit. each cellular company may look at different credit reports, so you never know..just try and see what happens.

They are pretty strict, no matter what phone you want to get. You can get a phone with bad credit, although 600 is not that bad, you just have to pay a deposit. it can get pretty high if you have a low credit score. Highest I have personally heard, was $750 deposit per line. All you have to do is go to the store, and they can tell you with in minutes if you will need a deposit or not. Hope this helped!
